"Gray is a queer, neurodivergent, disabled artist. Originally from Cheshire, they currently reside in the Highlands, thankfully far from the clutches of the English NHS. Gray became interested in combining print making techniques and digital art as an accessible way to continue creating within their fluctuating disability.

 

Their work examines the honesty of perversity, revelling in the glory of gender, kink and queerness as it truly is. In a world where simply living in a non-conventionally gendered body is radical, Gray’s practice explores how simply depicting those bodies as they are can be a celebratory act of representation.

 

Kink has also long been a way to play with power, gender and dynamics beyond binary sex. But like queerness, kink is often vilified and branded “perverse”. Gray's work rails against that discrimination, viewing kink as an unconventional display of love and affection that playfully pushes the boundaries of the accepted.
